The Soccer Team
The 1965-1 966 Tech soccer team
won its division championship spear–
headed by All-City center - half–
back Werner Roth. The team, scoring
35 goals, completed the season un–
defeated.
Andrew Debreceni and Paul Bon–
darenko, the fullbacks, filling out the
defense were backed up by veteran
goalie Emilio Escaladas. Paul Bagdzi–
unas, who was feared for his accu–
rate throw-ins, and Harold Rheims
were the halfbacks. Guenther Lange
and Joe Kruzec were the insides.
Center-forward Danny Kaye tri–
umphed in his seven-goal onslaught
in one match.
As a unit, sparked by team spirit
and a desire to win, the team was
fortunate to play under the guidance
of Mr. Arthur Peck, who retired in
February after IS years of successful
coaching.
