The Handball Tearn
The Handball Team, coached by George McDon–
ough, was built around the experience of seniors
Marshall Bryant, Steve Levine and Captain Ed
Eriksen.
Upset last year in its bid for the City Champion–
ship, the Handball Team hoped to slam its way to
top honors. The strength of the singles team was
supplied by Ed Eriksen and Steve Levine. Marshall
Bryant and newcomers comprised the doubles team.
With the aid of sophomore Terry Matsis, this year's
"Killers" gave their fans a "bang-up" display of
handicraft.
Tennis Team
Under the direction of Coach Vic-
tor Onorato, the Tennis Team relied
heavily upon excellent depth in the
three singles spots, while concentrat–
ing on molding together the doubles
combinations. The season starting in
April ended in mid-June.
Competition this year was ex–
pected from Madison and Midwood,
but because of an excellent finish in
the P.S.A.L. indoor tournament and
pre-season practice against other
teams, Tech had good reason to ex–
pect a winning team and a possible
chance at the City championship.
Bill Bleich captained the team in
the singles position, while George
Galdorisi, Anson Wong, and Bill Gal–
perin rotated leadership in doubles
competition.
