My Dear Fellow Graduates,
Our years at Brooklyn Tech hold memories, events and experiences which will
never be forgotten. In our sophomore year, there was the terrible snow storm in which
all of New York was paralyzed and school was closed down. That same year, President
Kennedy was assassinated. We will remember the transit strike which lengthened our
Christmas vacation for almost two weeks and effected a cancellation of our finals.
These events went down in history books even as we lived through them.
Life at Tech goes on, unceasing, from graduation to graduation, but with each
year it seems to change just a bit. Some say that even Tech Specials are getting
better. As freshmen, we thought four years was a painfully long span of time. And
yet, June is here and so is graduation. I.P. and Freehand Drawing are all four years
behind us now.
The Senior Prom and Senior Day, The Senior Play and Graduation Day with all
the excitement and preparation have all been here, as have rehearsals and the prom
with our steady in a beautiful evening gown by our side. Finally, we remember our
last few minutes as Brooklyn Tech seniors waiting for our diplomas. All the memories,
the
goo~
times and bad pass as grains of sand through an hour glass, all blending
into our days at Tech.
At this time I would like to wish all the students of The Graduating Class of 1966
the best of success and happiness in the career which you have chosen. We are no
longer boys now but the "Men of Tech.'
Sincerely yours,
