Cadets tour

Learning activities extended beyond

the classroom, when Air Force Jr.

ROTC students participated in field

trips at different air force bases, field

training exercises, and orienteering

meets as extracurricular training.

ROTC cadets took part in field

training and tactical exercises, learning

tactics necessary for a wartime

situation.

Taking a spring field trip to

Barksdale Air Force Base. the cadets

toured the Eighth Air Force Strategic

Air Command Headquarters.

M/ Sgt. Ed Ballard, leadership

instructor , and Lt. Col. (ret.) Frank

Schmidt, aero-space education

instructor, worked with drill team

commander Peggy Copeland. as well

as teaching the science and sociology

curriculum.
