Despite having only a mediocre season this year, Val–

ley's Cross-Country

team

showed much promise. All mem–

bers of the varsity top-five will be back next year. They

were juniors, Dan Beck, Bobby Ball and Danny Schultz;

sophomore, James Barnett; and freshman, Ted Koerner.

Schultz was awarded a ribbon in the County Meet. Also

adding to future hopes were the excellent junior varsity

and freshman teams . F3oth teams were undefeated in

regular competition and both won the county Champion–

ship. The J.V.'s came in a close 4th in the Trinity Invita–

tional out of a large field of teams. Leading the J.V.'s was

freshman, Ted Koerner who placed 2nd in the county

and 6th at Trinity before joining the varsity. James Bar–

nett and Ma rk Jamison placed 3rd and 4th respectively

in the county. John Woosley led the freshmen by w inning

every regular meet and placing 2nd in the county meet.

David Moore and Bob DuMont also came in the top ten.
