VALLEY 0-WESTPORT 14 The Vikings held the Warhawks even

in the first quarter, but in the second Doug

Again in the 3rd quarter, the Warhawks scored on a 40-yard

run by Randy Keal. Valley was plagued with fumbles as West–

port went on to win.

VALLEY 6-FERN CREEK 2 The Tigers scored first in the 2nd

quarter by tackling quarterback Lee Anderson in the end zone.

Valley came back in the 3rd quarter, when Mike Fahey, who

came in at quarterback for injured Anderson, scored the Viking's

first touchdown of the season.

VALLEY 27-WESTERN 13 The War–

riors scored first as Jerry Thorne

went for the score. Mike Fahey then

scored for Valley on a run. He con–

nected with Tom Grisham to score

again for Valley. In the second half

Grisham caught another pass from

Fahey for a 32-yard pass play

which gave the Vikings another

touchdown. Western attempted a

comeback by scoring again on a

run by Mike Dennison.

It

came too

late as Valley scored again and went

away with the victory.
