Varsity Cross Country
This year Washington successfully
defended its City onference ross
ountry championship for the fourth
time. By displaying th balance it
had all season, the Tonian Harriers
placed all five competitors within the
top eight city meet finishers. Its mar–
gin of victory was an amazing eighty
points. Washington enjoyed such suc–
cess this year because of
its
pride, self–
discipline, consistency, and spirit.
It
built up a winning habit early in the
season, and carried it
to
the final meet,
where it placed second in the state.
