HAROLD LAFAYETTE WILLIS
Harold is our exchange student f10m Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. His is a proficient
soccer player, and a member of the French Club. He comes from a family of 15 chi l dren.
His parents are Hon. and Mrs. Jacob H. Willis . His father is a lawyer and a member ofthe
House of Representatives, and his mother is a housewife. As his future occupation, Harold
would l il<e to be a business manager .
Harold tells us that Liberia is. the oldest republi c i n Africa, it being founded in 1816. It
did not become independent until 1847. Monrovia is the capital. English is spoken in
Liberia with about 28 dialects.
