School personnel attempted to enrich
the cuniculum in social studies and busi–
ness education. To give tudents a broad
educational background in social sciences,
teachers utilized broadcasts, newspapers,
and films in promoting better citizen hip.
Faculty member aroused students' con–
cern for preservation of our rights and love
of country. Employing modern techniques,
the faculty prepared youths for primary
executive and secretar ial positions. Thus,
today's informed students will become to–
morrow's active citizens.

A number of pecial departments sup–
plemented the everyday curriculum in
molding students' lives. For example,
teachers of health and physical education
stressed the importAnce of a f it and healthy
body. Special education classes were gear–
ed to match the individuals' ability. A
modern library unlocked the door to a
new world of adventure through reading.
Since students were faced with makjng im–
portant decisions, they turned to the coun–
seling department for sound advice and
guidance. The e various agencies function–
ed for the betterment of all.
USEFUL A JD FI E ARTS
Administrators provided initial train–
ing for a useful or fine arts career. Since
the Home Economic department was fully
equipped, greater emphasis was placed
upon the cooking aspect of homemaking.
:\Iodern machines opened tl1e door to vo–
cations in electronics, woodcraft, and
metalwork. Teen-agers intrigued by the
fine arts enrolled in classes promoting cul–
tural development, mainly art and music.
The arts challenged the creativeness of
every pupil.
