The Student Council has worked very conscientiously this year, striving to build
school spirit and promote all school activities. In their many projects, they have at–
tempted to prove that Valley can't be surpassed with her whole student ' body
backing her. The Student Council has had some very worthy officers this year. At
the head of the list is President Dickie Beard; Vice-President Jimmy Sublett; Sec–
retary Lynn Theilmeier; and Treasurer Nyann Emery. These officers have worked
hard along with the Student Executive Board and Student Council Representatives
to promote good citizenship, sportsmanship, and scholarship in our community and
school. Among the many projects of the Student Council this year, have been a
school-wide promotion of school spirit campaign, selling sport ties, working in the
Lost and Found Department, and Sick Room; and they promoted and sponsored
both football and basketball Homecoming events. The school certainly owes a debt
of gratitude to the Student Council of 1966 for making this, THE WORLD OF
VALLEY, a little more responsible and observant
of
the necessities of backing the
school and protecting its honor by being good sports.
