As the 1958 Cactus goes to press, we, the editors, wish to
thank the many people who have helped to make this
yearbook possible. Special appreciation should go to Steve
McWilliams for his excellent job as photography manager,
Harvey Smith for helping with the write-ups, the advertising
staff, and to the Gene Basford Studio for all of our student
pictures. Mr . Avery, our advisor, has pulled us through many
of the problems that have arisen while planning this book,
and he also designed our cover. Through the patronage of
our Sponsors, we are able to give you an even bigger annual,
and we cannot thank them enough .
