POLO
Again this year the Judson Varsity squad defeated Southern Arizona School to earn the
Southwestern Prep School Polo Championship. With the trophy safely in our possession, we
still remember the outstanding play of the last game when Bill Koehler, with the score tied
and seconds remaining, sent a foul shot soaring through the goal to win the game and series,
5-4 . High scorers of both S.A.S. games were the Smith brothers, Steve and Harvey .
In spite of a new team handicap, the J.V. squad showed exceptionally well, however they were
unlucky in seeking a win from S.A .S.
