The undefeated, untied, and un cored upon Red and Black of 19 15 wa uperbly coached by aptain hankweiler and hi able i tant , aptain hearer and aptain amp on. For oach hankweiler thi i but a continuation of unbroken vtctorie . Enough prai e cannot be gi en him for the way he ha built team and character. The line was not large, but what they lacked in ize they more than made up for tn peed, aggre - ivene and team\vork. End Art pinney and pil..e annon came in like pincer on oppo ing team . Frank Avery, Joe Ferreira and Matt Ore kovic were bulwark of trength at tackle po ition. Herm Warren and Johnny Lenore were crafty and ag re ive in the guard pot , while center, Pat 0' haughne y, wa a dependable a the Rock of ibraltar, and hi down-field blockmg aided many a touchdown run. The well-balanced backfield ma}' be de cribed by the one word, "explo ive." Harry tathe wa a peedy ball carrier, be tde bemg the deadly blocker that the quarterback mu t be. ocky, Iri. h and full of pirit wa halfback Bill 'Donnell, a ure-fire blocker, runner and p.tss nagger. Fullback Jerry Grogan, with hi boommg punt , a' ed many a game, and hi line plungmg wa sa,·age. aptain Bill 1xon took on the pa sin,~ dutlc , and hi en attonal limactic running wa invaluable. From then on it wa an ea y matter for the mooth-working Big Red offcn e to run the vi 1tors ragged to the tune of 24-0.
