David Laux, president; Phyllis Passehl, secretary– treasurer; Jerry Pinkowsky, vice-president. SECOND ACT The sophomores started their successful year with the customary election of class of– ficers, student council members and cheer– leaders. Gee, then there was Homecoming. What fun! The sophomores can proudly say that they produced something terrific with their float, "De-feet the Ghosts and Drive Ahead." Dorothy Bohr and Shirley Fischer represented the class on the court of honor. Say, nothing has been said about the great sophomore athletes yet. Why just look! You can hardly count all the boys who went out for baseball, basketball football, and track. They are really coming along. What will they be like when they are seniors? We know for sure you will never forget the soph's wonderful "Cupid's Cut-up" party. It was so much fun for all. Along with their party went successful assemblies and news– papers upon which every one worked very diligently. Oh, yes, there were forensics and the music tournaments. You just couldn't count all the sophomores that went out for these activities. They all enjoyed every bit of it too. Extraordinary, that's this class. Don't forget them because we are sure you will hear more, and then some, about them before they leave CHS. Thirt -nin
