Six ADMINISTRATORS To The Class of 53 Long before the birth of Christ the youth of Athens, when they came to adult life in their society, stood before the temple on a hill o r– looking their fair city and repeated in a thousand voices made one the following oath: "I will never disgrace these sacred arms or desert my com– rades . . . I will pass this city on to those who come after me not only, not less, and not poorer, but greater and more beautiful than it was given to me ... I will obey the present laws and those which the people may hereafter make, and if any man seek to set them to naught, I will do my best to prevent him both alone and with many." As you are about to leave our high school, I wish that you might enter adult society with a similar determination. May you and many others make certain that we continue the great country of ours in the high course set by our forefathers. May the years ahead be a golden age for you. May you live richly in the best country in the world. K. 0. Rawson ALLAN M. STEWART, B.A., M.A. Principal KENNETH 0.
