Straws for Two
The junior class play, "Straws for Two" scored a
hit with the appreciative audiences of November 14
and
15.
The leading roles included Sam, portrayed by Ron
Coutts; Suzy, by Doris Cook and Sue Kennedy· Janey,
by Greta Simmons and Joan Clark; and George, by
Shorty Cole. Other members of the cast were Barbara
PI-mons Lula Speece, Margaret Oltman, Bette Wal–
ton Judi Palmer, Jackie Halbert, Don Ferwerda, Dor–

Bye, Sonja Larson, Carol Carlson, Gwen Johnson,
Bo!J Hunter and Keith Witcraft.
The play was directed by Miss Margaret Baldwin,
assisted by an excellent staff of juniors.

scription price is $2.50.
The Thespians held their yearly banquet on Feb. 28
in the social hall. New members for the coming year
were initiated at this meeting.
One dance in the spring and hot dog sales at base–

games helped in financing the year's activities.
Officers for the year were: CoCo Lovell, president;
Mervyn Wingard, vice-president; Greta Simmons sec–
retary and Artalie Bennett, treasurer.
