This is a course designed to instruct students in the art of home living includ– ing family budgets , child care , family recreation , plus many other areas , It is offered to girls in grades 7 - 12 . Exceptions are maae for allowing boys to cake the course if they express a sincere interest in gaining experience toward suc h g oals as hotel or motel management . Emphasis is definitely stressed on family living as a unit rather than several separate areas . Our department is arranged , as nearly as possible , like a home . It is felt that a great deal of learning about home living takes place by seeing and working in a home atmosphere .
