Sweet Smiles When trying out for basketball cheerleading, the girls knew that they would be making an enormous commitment. A lot of time and work was put into cheering on their fellow Rebels. ot many people realized just how hard these girls worked. They attended gymnastics at Premier Cheerleading on Mon– days and sometimes cheered three or four games a week. These girls sometimes had to give up their Saturdays to cheer for the basketball play– ers at tournaments. "Cheerleading is very time consuming, s e you get the crowd pumpedup, g it's all worth U while," exclaimed ___........,...._ Shelly Brasher. The basketball cheerleaders spent a week out of their summer attendingcampatTennesseeTechinCookeville. At camp they did a wonderful job and brought home a spirit stick and a superior award. A hley Eller stated, "Camp was so great becau ewe all bonded together and the upperclassmen helped the new squad members get a feel of what the upcoming season was going to be like." 72 Sport
