On September 11,
2001, several terrorist
acts shook American
soil and pride as three
Boeing jets slammed
intobothof the 110-story
World Trade Center
towers and into the
outer ring of the Penta–
gon. The terrorism, be–
lieved to be the work of
Osama bin Laden, did
little to destroy the
strong bond of Ameri–
can unity and persever–
ance. Franklin High
School students,like the
rest of the nation, were
devastated at the
loss.With a show of
American flags, patrio–
tism, and generous do–
nations to the Red Cross,
the Rebels proved that
national well-beingwas
a large concern.
