JUNIOR PLAY Hallstead ALMOST SUMMER Three-Act Comedy The play took place in the living room of the Jones family. Paul Jones was planning to go to the lake for the summer with the rest of the family. Unfortunately, he had a history exam– ination coming up in a few days which he must pass with a high grade in order to graduate. If he failed he would have to go to summer school and miss out on the fun at the lake. His girlfriend, Jane, was going to the lake also. This gave himmore incentive for going to the lake. Paul's sister's boyfriend, Jack, and another boy stole the copy of the exam from the teacher's desk. All the blame was placed on Paul. He almost lost Jane and the respect of all his family, but the boys who really stole the test paper finally confessed. Luckily, he passed the test with a "90" and all was settled so he could look forward to an enjoyable summer at the lake.
