CLASS HISTORY FRESHMEN NEW MILFORD SOPHOMORES In September 1956, the class of '59 came back after a three-month vacation and settled downas sophomores. We were under the supervision of Mrs. Lois Kingsley. Our class consisted of Kay Ashworth, Kathy Barnes, Marjorie Coons, Marietta Cosentino, Carol Darrow, Suzanne Ellis, Betty Follet, Lovina Fuller, Shirley Groover, Diane Hillis, Alice Hoal, Louise Humbert, Lillian Millard, Marile Rounds, Ida Scott, Doris Seamans, Ruth Stoss, Cordelia Tilley, JoanWagner, Joyce Wayman, Beryl Whitney, Ruth Wilmarth, Carol Woosman, Elwin Brown, Russel Carpenter, Frank Cronk, Tom Goff, Donald Groover, Duane Gulick, Duane Harvey, Elmer Henderson, Dale Jesse, Donald Lawrence, Nelson Lewis, Tom Mitchell, Gerald Peck, John Phillips, Eugene Pickering, Tim Price, Richard Rafferty, Raymond Reed, Jim Shaw, Carl Smith, Lee Warren, Gordon Wayman, Gene White, Nelson Whitney, and Glen Wilmarth. Class officers were: President, Nelson Lewis; Vice-President, Dale Jesse; Secretary, Joan Wagner; Treasurer, Louise Humbert. Kay Ashworth, Diane Hillis, John Phillips, Richard Rafferty, Raymond Reed, Gordon Wayman, and Glen Wilmarth left us during the year. We had a "Holly Hop" on December 21, 1956. Before we realized it, one-half of our high school days were over.
