The officers were: President, William Yeomans; Vice-President, Thomas Lloyd; Sec– retary, Joyce Brown; Treasurer, Martha Bierly; Business Manager, Wilbur Smiles. These officers, together with the other student representatives and their adviser, Mr. Willia~s. contributed time and effort to making our Youth Center enjoyable to all who attended. Among the many entertaining programs of the year were: the Christmas Dance, where the Rams were honored and given gifts by the Youth Center; the pie-eating contest, won by Thomas Lloyd; the Twirp Dance, at which Nancy Galloway was presented with the title of "Miss Twirp;" and the Valentine Dance, where Virginia Culkin was chosen queen, and Robert Werts, her king. Every week there were novelty dances, such as the John Paul Jones, broom, pick-up,. stop, and spot dances. Those who did not care to dance enjoyed themselves playing ping-pong,· shuffleboard, or checkers. The Student Council has done a fine job and we hope that the Youth Center will continue to be a success. 40
