A long hoped for event of this year ·a~ the reactivation of the tudent council. tu– dents in our school, having heard other people from different schools talk of their program of government, are deeply grateful to Mr. Koch for his hard work in this endeavor. The Student Council is composed of thr e standing committees. The Social Activities Committee cooperated in every way in pro– viding for a well rounded program. In con– junction with the Janus taff, this committee aided in the preparations which made the Pre– Thanksgiving Day Dance a succe . They also sponsored the Pre-Senior Day Dance, and the innovation of the Noon Canteen was due to the efforts of this group. The students contributed to the fund– raising campaign of the Proje ts ommittee which enabled them to buy gifts for the local orphanage and hospitals. This hristmas Project has been entered in the Schola tic Magazine s con test. On February 7, 8, and 9 members of the Student Council acted as guides for the Eval uation and on March 15 an exchange visit of other Student Councils took place in Allentown with Junior and Sophomore students and of– ficers attending.
