This is Redstone A change in the scenery catches the eye of students and faculty. The framework for the new addition seems to grow by magic. Former daydreamers suddenly become "sidewalk superintendents.' The first bell rings loud and clear. Students dash forth madly from the "lav.'' 'Tis time to start a new day. In May 1962. saws buzzed, high lifts screeched, bulldozers roared. Ground work for construction of the senior high addition was in full swing. When students returned in the fall the noises were still here, but the scenery was changed. New rules and new procedures were in effect. The front entrance was off limits for everyone. Rear exits became entrances. Football season lost some of its zip. for all home games were transferred to the opponent's field. Nevertheless sports– minded fans cheered lustily. When the Hawks won, students were jubilant. When they lost, students were downcast. Filled with enthusiasm, senior officers and sponsor scheduled a calendar of events, financial and social, for the entire year. Students vied for membership in service organizations. clubs and yearbook staff. When autumn breezes cooled, the winter season showed a marked change in activities. Athletic functions gave way to social pleasures.
