CONCERT BAND At the close of marching band season, Redstone's more talented musicians became members of the Concert Band. Under the baton of Mr.JuliusP.Montagna, students received a cultural background in musical arts. Studies ranged from the classics of earlier centuries to the com– positions of present day con– temporaries. Melody lingers. . tunes haunt As spring drew nigh, the Concert Band looked forward to a busy schedule. First on the agenda, Charles Matthews and Richard Duritsa, outstanding musicians, earned the honor of representing Redstone at the Western Pennsylvania D istrict Band Festival at Waynesburg, Pennsylvania on April 20, 21, and 22. Realizing the importance of their last dgys at school, seniors strived to make them memor– able. Thus, they gave their best performances at the Senior Play, Baccalaureate, and Commence– ment.
