Each student xs grateful for the numerous op– portunities offered to him in the commercial field. During four years of secondary commercial schooling. he not only acquires textbook knowledge but also en– gages in pertinent work ex– perience. The commercial department attracts many. To give the stu– dent an opportunity to deter– mine if this is his field of en– deavor, exploratory bus in e s s courses are offered to sopho– mores. Then not only elemen– tary but advanced classes of typing, shorthand, bookkeeping. office practice, and machines are available. The office machine room is equipped with various makes of typewriters, adding machines, and a dictaphone. Experience gained by using the different machines enables a student to perform secretarial tasks in the different offices at Redstone.
