Do you know which teacher has been here at Owen } . Roberts the longest? If you think it is Mr. Burtner, you are right. He has been teach– ing agriculture for 33 years. He is the advisor of the Future Farmers of America and is proud of the members who have gone through competi– tions up to the national level. Mr. Burtner him– self has won a title for his services in this capacity. He is also involved with a community group called Young Farmers, which he addresses on the problems of running a farm. Mr. Burtner enjoys teaching agriculture be– cause he has a chance to work very closely with his students both in and out of class.
