Saltzer Fiveyears ago Karen Blumenthal decided that instead of stuffed lambs, she would start to play with the real thing. She joined the Tri-Community 4-h Club with a ram named Spunky as her project ana launched herself into the hectic life of the summer show circuit. Each year she shows her sheep at local fairs, as well as in 4-H com~titions, where she has won reserve champion and champion ribbons. But the formalities of the show ring merely cover up the water battles, clipper fights, and hours in the barn with a shovel. In fact, Karen has not done a ba-a-a-ad job at all.
