Ballentine, Mr. Plask (coach) This year's baseball team was one made up of many returning varsity players, who had been together since their successful junior high days. With a combi– nation of good pitching staff and consistant hitting throughout the line-up, the coaches were optimistic as the season began. The perennially powerful Boyertown and last year's champion, Downingtown, seemed to pose the great– est threat. Scott, Mr. Jarvie (coach) This year's tennis team seems to be a little different from the previous years' teams. As a whole, the team didn't feel it would have a very promising season ahead of them, though they agreed there would be a few individuals who stood out. The team consisted of only one returning senior and, therefore, most obviously lacked experience. However, the new players lived up to the coach's expectations, and contrary to some of the players' previous beliefs, they did have a more successful season than was anticipated. 165
