When the survivors begin serious practice, the challenge doesn't disappear. But with the help of some pixie dust and a dose feeling of team– work, this training smoothes itself out. Even with a much improved squad, the girls' swim team won only one meet It was their first year in the very competitive Central Penn league. The inspiring locker room talks will always be remembered, as we// as the weight training. Although the season ended two weeks early due to the energy crisis, the girls were able to establish eight new team records. On the girls' softball team there is never a dull moment. Their games are usually high scoring with a lot of hits. No matter what the weather, their hopes are never down. Most teams quit when the score gets out of hand, but these girls keep plugging 'til the game is over.
