We have learned to make literary critics of ourselves, reading and rating piles of poetry and short stories. It's funny how many center on lost loves or rose garden romances. I like to "discover" new writers and recruit more work from the better ones, but the most rewarding thing is seeing the final copies in print.-Brooke Hallowell
