Perhaps the most colorful and noteworthy event is the celebration of Winter Carnival's twenty -fifth anniversar}. Winter Carnival has become an essential part of the life of all jW1ior high and high school students. The jubilant festivities owe their inception to Mr. Robert Connelly. However, Lake Placid is fortW1ate to have three others on its faculty who have worked with !r. Connelly for the twenty-five years, Mrs. Doris Keane, Mr. Howard Page and Miss Gertrude Powers. They have all worked faithfully to make this the success it is. Enthusiasm is the key-word for both faculty and students during Winter Carnival time. On pages 12 to 14 we present a pictorial essay of this momentous occasion. It is our sincere desire that you enjoy all of the 1968 OLYMPIA . Under the direction of l'vfrs. Sharon Simpson the music department has made great progress. ew attractive light blue uniforms were purchased this year. These uniforms are worn by the concertmarching band, as well as by members of the dance band. The band played for football games, Winter Carnival, an assembly, concerts and graduation.
