DAME RUMOR, Kingston High's newspaper, has been serving K.H.S. students for some thirty-three years, owing greatly to the valuable assistance of Miss Agnes Scott Smith, the staff advisor. Ten issues of the paper are published annually. As an extra attraction the D.R. staff puts out an April Fool's Day edition, LAME HUMOR, which features both humorous and satirical articles and stories. The quality of the D.R. news features is a source of pride for all K.H.S. students. Scholastic, athletic, and social events are reported accurately to the students and faculty through D.R. Students interested in journalism are afforded an opportunity to gain experience in editing and in writing columns and editorials. The staff triumphed at the Syracuse Scholastic Press Conference this year, winning a first place in news photography, a second place in typography, and also honorable mentions in news writing, column writing and news photography.
