Coach John Gilligan in the Kate Walton Field Hou e di cu ing play with hi 1963-1964 team. After an opening win against a strong Monticello squad, the team lost four ball games in a row. Rallying, Coach John Gilligan's cagers won six of their following nine game , with the upset over league leading Poughkeepsie a the big win. Because of erratic play and inconsistency, however, lo ses were then suffered at the hands of Arling– ton and ewburgh. In DUSO competition the team's six-five record was good enough for a third place finish, behind Big Jim Plunkett hit for two again t Poughkeep.ie. perennial powerhouses Poughkeepsie and ewburgh. Graduating from this year's squad are Co-Captains Mike Canning and Larry Marcus, and seniors Jim Plunkett and Dave "Chip" Enni . Returning are Larry Armstead, Leon Hanna, Dan Heppner, Mike Burns, Joe Schabot, Wally Luka zew ki, and Brian Bach. A Arm tead, Hanna, Hepp– ner, and Bach are till only sophomore , K.H.S. can look to a brio-ht future in coming easons. ophomore Larry Armstead drives hard for two. 125
