Mahopac High School 1976 Yearbook (Mahopac, NY) - Full Access

Twirlers This year the twirling squad was very ac– tive. Led by Captain Carol Steinltz and Co-captain Lisa Lotrechiano, they began their season by performing at football games. They presented a Bicentennial half· time show featuring the use of fire batons and red covered twirling hoops, symboliz· ing cherries on a tree. The finale included a replica of the 1776 American flag, which was made by the captains of the Twirling and Colorguard squads. The Twirlers also appeared In the Winter Band Concert and the annual Spring Concert. The squad's candle, candy, and cake sales earned them over $200, which was used to make new uniforms and to purchase necessary equip– ment. Their hard work and dedication made each and every performance the best one possible. 1-48 Row 1: Carmella Alosco, Katie Olson, Virginia Sullivan, Dawn Smith, Chris White, Jan Mosco– witz, Donna Restivo.
