North High School January 1941 Yearbook (Syracuse, NY) - Full Access
RUTH DYGERT "Rudy" since her birth on Sep– tember 17, 1922, has been quite busy. While at North she has taken part in the Glee Club, arch– ery, Inter-High Choir. The busi– ness world is her destination. JAMES EMPRINGHAM "Jimmie" made his entrance to this world on April 8, 1923. He has been an active member of the Rifle Club and also a member of the Yearbook Staff and Class Day Committee. Syracuse University is his next stopping off place. DON ENGEL Don Engel. or "Stein", opened his eyes on October 17, 1921. His position in the cafeteria has brought him in contact with many people, so we can understand why he claims that women are his hobby. "Stein's" destination is unknown. MAGDALENE FALCONE Our "Madge" joined us on April 13, 1923. While at North she has been a member of the Tri-Y, Girl's Service League, archery, the Dramatic Club, and Glee Club. The business world is her destination after completing a course in business at Powelson's Institute. PATRINA FARRUGGIO "Pat" will soon leave us for the business world in which she will most likely succeed. During her stay at North she has been a mem– ber of the Girl's Service League. Reading is one of "Pat's" favorite hobbies. Oh, yes, she claims Au– gust 9, 1923, as her birthday. JULIO FENNOCHI "Jules" put in his first appear– ance on October 5, 1921. He is a boy whom stamp collecting and sports have fascinated. As for his destination, shall we say the busi– ness world? ANNETTE FERRANDO The name "Itchie" belongs to no other than Annette Ferrando, also known as "God's Gift to Man." Since "Itchie" came to North she has belonged to the Tri-Y, Girl's Service League, and the Dramatic Club. We expect to see her at the Minneapolis School of Fashion in the near future. "Itchie" was born on June 12, 1921. SAM FERRARA Sam made this earth his home beginning September 12. 1922. He has taken part in football, and this leads us to say that sports are his hobby. Sam will heed a call to the business world after graduation. HANNAH FOERTCH To Hannah go all the highest honors. Just as she has distin– quished herself as a student by achieving first rank as valedic– torian, she has won a top place in our hearts through her good sportsmanship and friendly man– ner. Hannah, who was born on April 26, 1923, was chairman of the Ring and Pin Committee and has also been engaged in base– ball, volleyball, badminton, and swimming. Hannah will probably share her knowledge with others as she plans to be an educator of some sort. ROBERT FORD "Butch" was introduced to civ– ilization on May 11. 1923. His one and only hobby is dodging nicknames, but one captured him anyway. He is the youngest mem– ber of the "Men's Garden Club of Syracuse." Next year we'll call upon him at Syracuse University.
