TO REMEMBER ALWAYS We can never forget her. She has too deeply imbedded her– self in our hearts and minds. Perhaps, it is because we, as youth, have not failed to recognize greatness when we came into contact with it. Perhaps, it is because she offered us so much. As a teacher, she taught us many things. Her burning zeal, intensive imagination, forceful determination whipped us into a whirlwind of scholarly attainment; but her methods were not hard, calculat– ing. Nonsense! She dug deep down into our intellectual curiosity; she taught us the meaning of words-and here we stop. For to get the impact of a word-not merely in its defined meaning but in its sound, its usage, its position-to get this is to penetrate into the beauty of a language. She is a true scholar and we were her humble students. As a person she planted seeds of kindness, gen– tleness, love of beauty and humbleness into our young, flexible characters. In our hearts she has reached the status of beloved. Within these school walls, there is perpetually at work another woman whose tireless efforts to instruct and guide us will never be forgotten. Indeed, we shall never forget her boundless efforts to teach so energetically so early in the morning so seemingly com– plex a subject as hers! But indeed, we hold her dear for much more. We shall thank forever her foresightedness in acknowledging our 41
