Alice McKeon were G.O . officers, Doris Nelson was Executive Coun– cil member. Eleanor Bakke took over the coveted position of Grade President, and an able one she was too! .-a period signifying The End, Finis and such! But this of all terms will be the hardest to forget. We have had our talented Jeannette Malhame become Victory Corps President, versatile (everything from Scene Shifters to 9F I) Dor;s Nelson, our G.O. President, and Eleanor Bakke G.O. Vice-President. Marcella Shlansky is our Arista Leader, and Betty Macri our Senior Editor-in-Chief of the M.&W.; Marie Andres, Business Manager, and Mary Sherony, Art Editor. The Ridge Echo is in the capable hands of Jean Grossi as Editor– in-Chief; Josephine Cascone, Managing Editor, and Vivian Lehto, Business Ma,..,ager. Industrious Gloria Pedersen is S.S.C. Leader, and the outcome of our last grade election made Catherine Wilson Senior Grade President; Ruth Wilson Vice-President; Alice McKeon Secretary, and Ida Romano Troasurer. The clubs found Seniors thicker than ever in their midst (with many club leaders being Seniors also). Barbara Grandenie is our G.A.A. leader. We really have participated in school activities "body and soul"-do we look any the worse for it? The few strange faces are due to worry about the Prom, but don't take them seriously. Yes, there was a Prom and those very same girls forgot their previous tension by having a very gay time! It was marvelous "in several other first-string adjectives"! We have watched friendships grow steadily in our grade and some of us have been part of them. Everyone of us knows the combination of Beatrice Panzarella and Mary Anzalone-they delight us all with their capers. Julia Pellas and Ruth Pizza also shed some life on that "Damon & Pythias" idea. We all grin and chuckle at the "inseparable associa– tion" comprising such members as Ruth Larocca, Mary De Pasquale, Marion Rierson, and the two Marinos (only one isn't Marino-it's Morino! Concetta and Virginia respectively). These girls and many more (like the Gold Dust Triplets: Pauline Sangemino, Carmela Martino, and Laura De Angelis) help to add many a laugh to our school lives. Of course, there are those silent partnerships; the girls are inseparable but they don't bother to mince words about it! We all spent our spare moments in the Senior Garden trying to recall the times when we thought that since we were graduating in January, the Garden would offer us nothing but a bleak prospect. But we overlooked one thing-that Fall is an exquisite, colorful season, and as we watched the golden hues of the garden change to lovely autumnal tints, we swelled with pride. Certainly Fall was a wonderful season! We have come to the "Fall," the spectacular end of our school lives. The "Spring" of a new life lies ahead! Laura De Angelis 10
