FOREWORD We have come this far together. It has been a wonderful four years of tears and laughter, triumphs and failures in which we, a sturdy, vibrant, healthy group of young women have shown through our various skills and our scholarly marks that education is not wasted on women. We have passed through critical times. The war has penetrated to our very fibers, but we have not pondered, we did not hesitate; we came through in our firm but feminine way. Tomorrow but a few of us will challenge this world hand in hand. Most of us will meet it alone, determined, full of a sense of justice and fair play that education has imbedded in us. We have cast aside our worn-out, weakly, effeminate attire. We surge forth as independent, talented women who have come to take their places by men, who have come to share in the rebuilding of a new world! But we shall not, as we march through time and continent, lose our delicate charms, our sweet smiles or our motherly attitude-we could not without losing ourselves.
