Schmidt Our hearts go out in gratitude to those who have served on the Board of Education, past & present, for we know that without their efforts the building of our new high school would have been impossible. The combination of energy, good judgment, and tact that these men have displayed have made the people of our community, proud to have had a part in an endeavor which would better educate the youth of to- day. The members of the Board know what the word sacrifice means, and yet, they c~ried their heavy burden without selfishness. We appreciate the time and energy they have spent in our behalf. The citizens of this area have been well represented by our Board of Education of the Chenango Valley School District. Our magnificent high school was conceived in the minds of these men, and, through their efforts, it was born. 4
