Senior High Dance Band The dance band is a recent addition to our musical department under the direction of Mr. Charles Fleming. Through their weekly practice sessions they are con- stantly adding to their already fine reper- toire. This group has provided music for many of our dances, especially those held after basketball games. Members of the dance band are: FRONT ROW: Lewis Platt, Larry Bird, Tom Whieldon, Janet Clark, Sharon Van Buskirk, Marilyn Dunn. BACK ROW: Margaret Hillier, Dave Ben- jamin, Watson Brock, Dick Rivers, Bob Pierce and Jeff Thompson. Chess Club The Chess Club is a newly organized Club this year. Its purpose is to enjoy the game, to perfect abilities and to prepare for tournaments in schools in the area who have clubs and who are interested in competition. Junior High Dance Band Laying the foundation for future membership into the Junior High "A" Band is the Junior High Trainmg Band. Gaining experience under Mr. John Fako are: B. Darrin, G. Fahs, R. Fynbee, R. Fyfe, D. Heller, J. Lyons, S. Oakley, P. O'Neil, S. Piatt, B. Schenk, B. Vegerson and J. Winchell. 60
