The Senior Band gives the student an op- portunity to play graded music for athletic games, pep rallies, assemblies at elemen- tary schools, and participating in one of the festivals which the New York State School Mlsic Association sponsors each year. Dur- ing the last few years this group, under the excellent leadership of Charles A. Fleming, has fared very well in this competition, re- ceiving top ratings for their performance. The main purposes of this organization are to develops k i 11 s in various phases of music, to experiment with different mus- ical moods, and to cultivate the individ- ual musical appreciation.
