The Senior Prize Speaking group consists of tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade students interested in studying public speaking. Their chief activity is the presentation of the annual prize speaking contest. All members prepare to give either a memorizf!d selection of any type or an original essay. Ah elimination contest determines who will take part in the final contest. On the basis of the judges' decision, three winners are selected from the final contestants the night of the program. Standing: Joyce Donowick, Mr. Stone, Mary Stones, Helen Zandt. 49 Art Club The Art Club was newly formed this year under the direction of Mr. Stone. The purpose is not only that members enjoy their own art creations but also help with the various productions put on in the D.C.S. auditorium. Examples of their fine work were the Senior Play and the Colorama Concert for which they designed the set, programs and posters.
