It is open to students who want to better their school and their community. The club has been very active this year, and at present, its members ore working for the Waldron Trophy. This trophy has been award– ed to the Chenango Volley Council for two years in a row, but it must be awarded to them again this year in order for the trophy to be kept permanently. This cup is awarded for outstanding service in the Broome County area. The club put on a Christmas party for a word at State Hospital and also sent Christmas cards to the Broome County Hospital . The annual drive was a big success this year. The officers are: President, Sandy Cushman; Vice President, Sally Ferris; Treasurer, Sandy Hider; and Secretary, Sherry Wilson . ROW ONE: C. Lawrence, L. Baldwin .lunior Red Cross The Junior Council of the Junior Red Cross was organized on the same basis and worked toward the same objectives as the Senior Council. This year, they worked with the Senior Council in their annual Red Cross drive, and as a Christmas gesture, they distributed oranges at the Broome County Home. Another project was the repairing of old books and the distribution of them to the children's wards in the area hospitals. The officers are: President, Richard Follet; Vice President, Nancy Gilmore; Treasurer, James Lynch; and Secretary, Martha Wagstaff. 69
