Injuries and numerous sorrowful breaks prevented the varsity footboll team from doing as well this year as they have in previous years. Mr. O'Reilly and Mr. Demaree did a fine job of coach– ing and conditioning the boys as their spirit showed. North 7 - Uti co 34 A new type of play and a wet field re– tarded the North men in this game. The fact that Tom Snape took the ball over for the lone North TO in the third quarter was proof that North at times may be down but never out. Page 58 North 7 - ESS 8 The Indians made a fine showing this game despite the absence of quarterback Bob McDevitt and with less than a minute left John Boyd was driven across the goal Iine which was called a safety and was the margin of loss.
