Sailing through the winding channels come the expert seamen of Driver's Association. This club is designed to promote safer and more skillful windjamming amongstour fellow mates. Besides putting on roadeos themselves, they also compete in inter-ship regattas. Recently, petitions requesting that the driver's training program be put on a full-time basis were circulated in the cabins by this group, and a delegation took them to Mr. Helfer, the Commander-in-chief of the Allied Fleets. They plan to set up a Safe Teen Club for any teenager in homeport. This will give recognition to the safe teenage driver by supplying him with a luminous stern and bow strip and a dogtag. In case of a shipwreck or violation of a navigation law, the teenage-ensign will lose these for a period of time decided by the Captain. The "Camera Club," under the supervision of Captain Charles Konecny, gives the amateur photographer a chance to improve his interests. The "Camera Club" has nation-wide contests in which any crewman may take part. When he enters these con– tests, he learns where he needs more improvement and also helps the photographer to get acquainted with different photographic gear. Row 1: Ken Seamon, Eugene Jen– sen.
