Lally "What time does it start!" "Who are the officials!" "Can I get new track shoes?" "Where are the hoods!" "Can we get the courts relined!" "Where are the expense vouchers!" and thousands of similar questions are asked--and promptly answered--by our own able, energetic, competent and capable Director of Athletics. Hats off to you, Mr. Lally, for a good job well done! The entire sports program atNorth owes a great part of it's sue- cess to your efforts. The 1954 season was a good one for North, with an impressive five wins, and three de- feats . The team, under the guidance and direction of our able head coach, Mr. Gordon O'Reilly, and his line coach, Mr. Gerry Demaree, were a credit to the Spirit of North in de- feat as well as in such glorious victories as Central and Johnson City. Perhaps you have your own idea as to the highlight of the 1954 season; but to many, the Spirit of North was most prominently reflected at Endicott that dark dismal day last fall when North stood in decisive defeat at the claws of the strong U -E tigers -yet in the last minutes of play, rallied and scored a touchdown - again showing, North may occasionally be down, but never out! Congratulations to the team for representing us so well on the gridiron. Page 59
