Young Teams Gain Experience Junior Varsity and the Freshman foot– ball teams proved that it takes a lot more than just running and tackling to play football. It also takes a lot of physical and men– tal dedication. The Junior Varsity and the Freshman football proved that by their power to stick together and their "no die" attitude toward the game. No matter what the outcome, win or lose, they stuck in there till the end. Junior Varsity ended the season with a record of 2-5, and Freshmen finished with a record of 0-7. Coach Butscher said, "Our team records was indicative of the inex– perience and youth of our players. The positive aspects of the season are the im– provements made by our athletes, the Coach Butscher stares intently during an as– embly. Coach Lucero and I enjoyed working with this group of young men." Not having a great record this season does not seem to be what mattered, but having the dedication of the all the play– ers, coaches, parents, and school did mat– ter. The Junior Varsity coaches for the 93 season were Coach Butcher, And Coach Lucero. Coach Edmund, and Coach Cron– ican coached the Freshman 93 season.
