News 101: All News, All the Time New 101 is an organization for students intere ted in journalism. It help the e students acquire some kill and knowledge of the journal– i m field. They learn how to write, edit, and report news. They are cur– rently involved in a project with KRQE (channell3). This project al– lows the tudents to be able to report new torie ; which are aired on the statewide broadcast, 101 News. New 101 meets Fridays at lunch in Room 208. At their meeting , they di cu torie and learn the proce of collecting the new . The kind of stories they write are storie which are of interest to the teen commu– nity. Next year, News 101 will be in– cluded in the journalism class. Ms. Blue, the New 101 ponsor. The producers for News 101 are Gabe No ier and Meli a Elli . M . Connie Blue i the spon or. This organization ha earned many regional and national award . They have al o been honored with the priv– ilege of being nominated for an Emmy and two Rocky Mountain Emmy , an International Iris Award, a National Education Association Award, and have received national awards from the National Broadcast A ociation for Community Affair and National Education Association of Broadcast– er .
