News 101: All News, All the Time New 101 is an organization for students intere ted in journalism. It help the e students acquire some kill and knowledge of the journal– i m field. They learn how to write, edit, and report news. They are cur– rently involved in a project with KRQE (channell3). This project al– lows the tudents to be able to report new torie ; which are aired on the statewide broadcast, 101 News. New 101 meets Fridays at lunch in Room 208. At their meeting , they di cu torie and learn the proce of collecting the new . The kind of stories they write are storie which are of interest to the teen commu– nity. This organization ha earned many regional and national award . They have al o been honored with the priv– ilege of being nominated for an Emmy and two Rocky Mountain Emmy , an International Iris Award, a National Education Association Award, and have received national awards from the National Broadcast A ociation for Community Affair and National Education Association of Broadcast– er .
