Stevens Hoboken Academy 1943 Yearbook (Hoboken, NJ) - Guest Access

P.tge f our Little did the Academy realize in 1943 that one of the outstanding classes in the history of the school was to begin its illustrious career. In 1931 Elaine and Elizabeth entered the first grade, followed a year later by Marie who caught up with them in the eighth grade. Louis, Donald, Bill, Lucille, and Elieta swelled our membership in the ninth grade, giving us not only good students but crack basketball players as well. The following year our group was enhanced by Ber– nie, Dave, and last but not least, Edmund. Our class was well on the way to success with the addition of these three new members. Mike, Eleanore, and Irwin joined us in the llth year while Bill Black, Walter, and James rounded out the present number in the 12th grade. Our class now completed in one hap– PY family must soon break up, leav– ing each to find his place in the world. As sad as we are to leave the Academy we feel sure the Army, Navy, and other armed services to which many of us will soon belong, need u s more. * * * * * * So we, the class of 1943, say goodbye to our teachers to our class– mates, ~nd to S. H. A.
